Michael Jones and other spammers like to claim that their abuse of the internet falls under the protection of the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States:

Article I.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the the freedom of speech or the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble and to petition the Government for the redress of grievances."

NOTE, however, that it says: "CONGRESS SHALL MAKE NO LAW". This does not prevent Internet Service Providers and other NON governmental agencies from setting rules for the uses of their internet resources and property. Thus, when spammers violate the Acceptable Use Policy of their ISP, they are liable to be sanctioned for their misdeeds.

Mr. Jones' DirtyDicks.com web site has lost its hosting at least
six times within the 1999 calendar year, for habitual net-abuse.

On 05 January 00, DirtyDicks.com was removed from its hosting by
FLASHHOST/NSIWEB/APPLIEDTHEORY. The hosting for this site was
picked up by INTERLAND.NET, then XSITEHOSTING.NET,
then HOSTPRO.NET, and finally SPLITINFINITY.NET
whom has since terminated him.

Maybe he is going for a new record.
